Health and Human Services is searching for a full-time extra hire Administrative Assistant to assist with complicated and highly specialized office support work within the administrative unit for a variety of human resources functions.  This includes support for employee recruitment, retention, training, staff development, on-boarding new employees, performance evaluations and maintaining department organization charts.
The Adminisitrative Assistant that is ideal for this position is detail-oriented, and understands and performs important technical and complicated tasks with a high degree of accuracy and reliability, while having the ability to work in a very detailed environment. He/she possesses excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to conduct positive interactions with all levels of the organization, strong communication skills, and the ability to work successfully within a team environment.
The ideal candidate should also have experience supporting multiple staff with on-going project needs. He/she must be able to utilize computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook and have the ability to learn department specific computer programs as needed. The ideal candidate has experience coordinating employee meetings and events including coordinating event venues and plans, event registration, catering needs, arranging IT needs, and disability accommodation needs.  This position will also coordinate event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking for a variety of events related to staff development, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations.
The ideal candidate will have strong skills in communications, computer applications, organization, problem solving and the ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment. Experience working in a human resources setting is highly desirable.

Detention Nurse Adult or Family Practitioner
Marin County Jail
Please note this position works with adult incarcerated inmates and may work eight (8) up to thirty-two (32) hours per week depending on staffing needs.
The work week is Monday through Friday and the shift is typically 8 am to 4 pm.
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION: Successful applicants will be subject to a thorough and rigorous background investigation which may include, but is not limited to, a criminal records check, interviews with friends, relatives, neighbors and employers verification of DMV records and overall employment and education history.  An applicant may be disqualified for past criminal convictions, poor driving record, providing false background information, and other reasons.
DRUG USE STANDARDS:  No use of any illegal drug in the past three years. No felony drug use (e.g. cocaine, amphetamines, etc.)  in the past five years.  No hallucinogenics ever.  No intravenous drug use or drug sales ever. Applicants successful in testing will be given a polygraph examination and/or computerized voice stress analysis and will be asked about illegal drug use.
