Senior Accounting Assistant
Marin County Employees' Retirement Association (MCERA)
The Marin County Employees' Retirement Association (MCERA) is seeking a qualified individual for a 6 -month extra hire term position as a Senior Accounting Assistant. The hours will generally be 8:30 am -- 4:30 pm.
Working on the MCERA finance and accounting team, under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accounting Assistant (Extra Hire) performs a variety of financial and accounting tasks including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations and other tasks as necessary to support MCERA's operations.The ideal candidate will have experience with bank account reconciliation, General Ledger reconciliation and preparation of journal vouchers. The candidate will also be proficient in Excel and have experience using a financial system (i.e. SAP) to enter and extract data. The candidate should be able to demonstrate three years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting and/or financial reporting. Education or professional training that is directly related to the knowledge and skills requirements may be substituted for up to one year of experience.

Social Service Worker II

Marin County Health & Human Services has a full-time extra-hire position available within the Aging and Adult Social Services. Social Service Workers II provide advanced social casework services related to Adult Protective Services and In-Home Support Services to a variety of individuals from diverse socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Social Service Workers II must have acquired a sufficiently high degree of diagnostic and treatment skills to perform casework and treatment services in complex casework areas.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of social work, the role and function of a public social services agency, the principles and techniques of interviewing, as well as methods of social work record keeping including computer applications. Knowledge and experience with individuals who may have physical and/or emotional problems is desirable.

Mental Health Registered Nurse
Psychiatric Emergency Services
The Marin County Health & Human Services Department is seeking Mental Health Registered Nurses interested in extra hire positions who have previous experience working in a mental health setting, working in a multi-disciplinary team, have strong nursing assessment skills and are comfortable screening for medical and substance abuse issues. The RN will function as the registered nurse on duty at Marin County Psychiatric Emergency Services.
