Introduction
LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Create work schedule for staff.
Monitor time sheets and leave balances for RCYCP.
Approve time sheets and leave requests.
Develop special work schedules for holidays and special events.
Activity coordination with regard to duty assignments, interdepartmental conflicts, preparations.
Responsible for reporting/submitting requests for maintenance, inspections, and overall up-keep of residential halls.
Maintaining records on inventory, purchase dates, and anticipated replacement times.
Purchase order to request replacement or new equipment.
Monitor that school, state, and federal regulations are applied.
Facilitate in-service training to meet the Department of Human Resources (DHR) and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) requirements for licensure.
Coordinate extracurricular activities with the After School Programs and each dormitory to ensure the quality of programs are maximized.
Oversee the After School and Athletics Programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Service field and have 4 years of experience in a residential program setting or a Master’s degree in the Human Service field and have 2 years of experience in a residential program setting.
Experience: Must have 1 – 3 years of supervisory experience.
LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Employees in this classification will be required to obtain and maintain Residential Child and Youth Care Administrator certification.
2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
3. Employees in this classification will be trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first-aid training leading to certification. These certifications must be kept current as a requirement of residential child care licensure by the Maryland Department of Human Resources.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Employees in this classification are required to communicate with deaf students, staff, and parents therefore they must be proficient in American Sign Language and in written English.
2. Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.
3. Candidates need to provide three letters of recommendation.
