Introduction

We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and creative individual for the Village Manager at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum who is committed to providing outdoor educational experiences.

Main Purpose of Job

This position provides outdoor educational experiences at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum (JPPM) and maintains all structures at the Indian Village, located JPPM, facilitates school field trip programs, created summer camps, leads weekend demonstrations/workshops at the Village, and assists in park events.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience:  One year teaching (K-12), museum education, or other related experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in history, education, museum studies, historic preservation, anthropology/archaeology or related fields.

Experience in traditional skills such as flint knapping, pottery, cordage, fire making, etc.

Experience working with Native American groups.

Experience with grant writing.

Construction/facility management experience.
