This is a contractual position with limited State of Maryland benefits.
Work that Matters. The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is a national leader in affordable housing and community development. The Division of Finance and Administration seeks a qualified and enthusiastic individual to fill a contractual position as an Agency Procurement Associate II position functioning as a Purchasing Administrator.

The Department of Housing and Community Development's Headquarters Office is located in Prince George's County at the New Carrollton Metro stop.
POSITION DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two years experience performing work involving the preparation, assembly, and processing of procurement related documents necessary in developing procurement contracts.
Notes:
- Candidates may substitute education at an accredited college or university for the required experience at a rate of thirty credit hours for each year of experience.
- Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in Contracting and Industrial Management classifications or specialty codes in the Procurement field of work at a rate of one year of military experience for the required experience.

BENEFITS
Contractual employees who works for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program (the Program), have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.
