Main Purpose of Job
The Contributor Relations team provides high-quality customer service via telephone, email and mail. Ideal candidates will work independently and as part of a team to resolve a diverse set of issues including viewer and member inquiries, premiums, data entry, donor account management and more. The position will also prepare and assist with MPT's on-air pledge drives and participate in a variety of special events and projects designed to cultivate and strengthen relationships with our contributors and viewers.
POSITION DUTIES
- Provide personalized customer service via telephone, email and mail.
- Work independently and as part of a team to resolve a diverse set of issues including viewer and member inquiries related to charitable giving, thank you gifts and programming.
- Other duties include data entry, donor account management and donor correspondence.
- This position will also prepare and assist with MPT's on-air pledge drives, recruit and build a robust network of pledge volunteers for all of MPT's studio pledge productions (approximately 50 days per year).
- Participate in a variety of special events and projects designed to cultivate and strengthen relationships with our members and viewers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires high school diploma or GED
At least one year of related experience
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates must be highly organized and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel is essential. The ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment, multi-task, take initiative and interact with the public in a courteous and personable manner is essential. A strong background in customer service is preferred. Familiarity or knowledge of databases is preferred but not required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The ability to work a flexible schedule that will require occasional nights and weekend work is essential.
