Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Manage staff by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Researching new technologies and alternative methods of efficiency.
- Work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and conduct analysis.
- Participate in EGD Operations by interpreting gaming documents, reviewing materials necessary for the completion of the project. ·
- Review and perform observations with facility personnel for moves, installs, overhauls, configurations, repairs and maintenance of all Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) and EGD equipment.
- Travel to the existing and future Maryland VLT sites (casinos), Bingo Halls and other locations that contain EDG's is mandatory for this position. Involves (25-50%) travel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Information Technology, Applied Statistics, Data Analysis, Mathematics or related field to include course work in systems analysis, operating systems, and data communications technology.
Experience: Four years of experience in gaming device operations that include elements of VLT/Slot Machine performance analysis, technical investigations, component testing, vendor relations, and gaming industry floor operations.
Notes:
1. Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university in Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or other information technology related field to include course work in systems analysis and applications programming using generally accepted computer programming languages or in operating systems and data communications technology may be substituted for the required education.
2. Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and one additional year of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining applications systems and programs using generally accepted computer programming languages or maintaining and modifying operating systems for computers may be substituted for the required education.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent time management, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Experience performing duties assigned directly to this position.
- Gaming industry experience including but not limited to slot operations, gaming analytics, and casino management systems.
