LOCATION OF POSITION

Crownsville, Maryland

In the future, DHCD will be relocating from Crownsville, Anne Arundel County, to the New Carrollton transit stop location in Prince George’s County.

POSITION DUTIES

DHCD has an immediate opening for Team Leader- Multifamily Energy & Sustainability.  This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of DHCD's Energy programs, and plays a critical role in the development of new energy and sustainability initiatives, including the establishment of development quality construction criteria for DHCD Multifamily lending programs.  The position supervises a team of 6. The position also works closely with the Deputy Director and Construction Administrators providing construction, energy, and sustainability technical expertise and reports directly to the Director of Multifamily Housing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications are REQUIRED. Please read carefully.

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.  

Experience: Five years of professional experience in energy programs or in either the public or private sector.  One year of this experience must have involved affordable housing construction or development.  Ability to demonstrate experience supervising staff, overseeing and coordinating the general operations of a unit, including responsibility for timely closing of project financing or similar complex tasks, applying rules and regulations, and exercising responsibility for the development of policies or procedures.  

Notes:            

1. Additional experience in multifamily construction and or development may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.  

2. Additional graduate level education from an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year- to -year basis for the required general experience.
