Main Purpose of Job
The Contractual Student Technical Assistant position provides hourly employment for students in a variety of technical assistant jobs with an agency of Maryland State Government. The main purpose of this position is to provide secretarial and administrative support to staff under the Long Term Services and Support Administration (LTSSA). The incumbent will answer telephone inquiries, screen calls for all programs in LTSSA, redirect and/or make appropriate referrals within or outside of DHMH, post into the Program's LTSSA Electronic Form appropriate provider, participant, and outside agency's questions, inquiries, and/or requests for information, provider applications, etc. The employee will type routine correspondence, controlled correspondence, memoranda, and charts, and complete mass mailings for Divisions on a regular basis. Other duties will be performed as needed.
