Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to provide general cleaning of Deer's Head Hospital Center, including patient and administrative areas. This relates to the mission and goals of Deer's Head hospital Center by providing a clean, aseptic, safe, healthy, happy, and caring environment for the patients/residents and personnel to thrive in.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: None.

Experience: None.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Should be able to clean assigned areas, isolation cleaning of rooms and equipment use, support services and chemical use. Should be able to mop floors and be able to lift 50 pounds

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.  Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this classification may be subject to call-in 24 hours a day and, therefore, may be required to provide the employing agency with a telephone number where they can be reached.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
