Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to provide non-licensed professional nutrition services to Frederick County WIC participants and help to implement the WIC Nutrition Services Plan. The successful candidate will also determine/prescribe WIC special field packages for participants adhering to federal and state guidelines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Community Nutrition, Dietetics, Foods and Human Nutrition, Food Systems Management or Nutrition Education.
Experience: None.
Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Dietitian and Nutritionist classification or Dietitian and Nutritionist specialty codes in the Dietitian field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION
There are two vacancies for this position full-time and part-time.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
