Main Purpose of Job

The Director of Clinical Services will coordinate, oversee and direct the behavioral health clinics and programs operated by the Garrett County Health Department. The Director of Clinical services will maintain partnerships with agencies and organizations involved in the treatment and recovery of persons in Garrett County with mental health, substance use and other addictive disorders. The Director will also work with community partners to develop the resources needed to address the behavioral health needs of the community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling or related field and six (6) years of professional experience in health services, three (3) years of which must have been professional work in the Behavioral Health field, and two (2) years of which must have been at the managerial and/or supervisory level.

Applicants may substitute a Doctoral degree in a health or human services field for up to two years of the required experience. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus an additional year of professional experience in health services may be substituted for the specific degree.
