THIS IS CONTRACTUAL EMPLOYMENT, AT AN HOURLY RATE OF PAY. WORKERS ARE PAID ONLY FOR ACTUAL HOURS WORKED, NO PAID LEAVE.

POSITIONS EXIST AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:
1 Opening - Annapolis Headquarters Office (Eastern Shore/Southern Maryland Regions)
1 Opening - Frederick Field Office (Central Maryland Region)
1 Opening - Forest Hill Field Office (Northeast Maryland Region)
2 Openings - Cumberland Field Office (Western Maryland Region)
Main Purpose of Job
Seasonal Workers needed between August and December 2015 to assist with Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Suppression, and the Annual Fall Gypsy Moth Egg Mass Survey Program.
POSITION DUTIES
Duties include contact with the public and recording data. May also include application of systemic insecticides to Hemlock trees.
Work will be in steep, rough forest environments and other forested and urban areas. Work may involve exposure to insects, ticks, poison ivy, forest and urban animals, lengthy hikes, and carrying packs, supplies and equipment.
Overnight travel may be required, for up to a week at a time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma/GED required. Each candidate must be at least 18 years of age and possess a driver's license valid in Maryland with no more than 5 points on driving record.
On-the-job training will be provided.
