Main Purpose of Job

The Department of Natural Resources, Maryland Park Service Training Division located in Annapolis, Maryland, is currently accepting applications for a Seasonal Contractual Instructor/Administrative Assistant. This position will provide instructional assistance in Emergency Medical Responder Training, American Heart Association CPR Training, National Search and Rescue Training, Traffic Direction, Defensive Tactics, as well as National Safety Council First Aid Training to personnel assigned in the Maryland Park Service. The selected candidate will provide classroom and field instruction and requires travel throughout the state of Maryland. Candidates must be proficient in course creation, and lesson plan development. The incumbent also functions as a back-up administrative assistant, and must have extensive experience utilizing Crown Point Technology Software; Skills Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Four (4) years of experience using Crown Point Technology Software and Skills Manager Software.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A College Degree is preferred but not required.

Knowledge of Maryland Park Service Training procedures is preferred but not required. 

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Candidates must have current certifications in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation with American Heart Association, EMR Instructor Certification with MEIMSS or ECSI, National Association for Search and Rescue, ISAR Instructor experience, Defensive Tactics Instructor experience, and National Rifle Association Instructor certification in Rifle and Shotgun.
