Main Purpose of Job
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university in a natural resources-related major, preferably forestry.
Experience: Applicants must have 1 year of work experience in a forestry-related position.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience conducting timber inventories, writing management plans, and coordinating timber harvests with various state agencies and timber harvest operators.
Knowledge of standard protocols for collecting field data and have extensive knowledge of dendrology and plant identification in Maryland.
Familiarity with early-successional wildlife species and habitat management.
