Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Administer contract monitoring, contract administration and compliance to include:
- Assisting Procurement with identifying contract risks and contract administration problems associated with procurement, asses the level of risk by assessing the level of risk by determining the potential for occurrence of each type of problem and ensuring the specifications and contract language address the potential problems
- Coordinating with finance staff to ensure proper billing and collection of contractual revenue
- Evaluating contractor’s performance against terms and conditions of contracts and recommends corrective action such as the application of damages, withholding of payment or termination of contract
- Verifying Certificates of Insurance, Bonds and references for compliance with contract requirements
- Research and complies information questions pertaining to contracts as directed by the Office of the Secretary, Procurement management and provide responses
- Implement and interpret policies and procedures as it relates to contract administration. Develop and recommend new procedures for the assigned function
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: Three years experience in administrative or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute additional experience in administrative staff or professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included the regular independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year to year basis for the required education and experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with State Financial Management Systems such as the Financial Management Information System (FMIS)
Experience in Accounting
