Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to provide quality assurance and quality control reviews, monitoring and reporting of Agency programs for the Quality Assurance and Compliance Division and to ensure effective and efficient operations. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating quality assurance and compliance activities and ensuring that programs are operated in accordance to local, state and federal policy and program requirements. The incumbent monitors Division programs viability, compliance with mandates, and quality customer service. The incumbent is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to improve sevice delivery and performance outcomes within the Family Investment Division; Child, Adult and Family Services Division; the Community Services Division and the Administration of the Prince George's County Department of Socical Services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Three years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.

Notes: 1. Additional professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Education at the graduate level at an accredited college or university in a human services related field may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester hours per year for up to two years of the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications and Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical, and Officer Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

 

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

One year experience must have been in Quality Assurance and Compliance in a Family Investment Administration, Adult Services, Child and Family Services, or a Community Services Program in a Social Service Agency. 

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 Masters Degree preferred.  Three (3) year of supervisory experience preferred.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
