Main Purpose of Job

The Program Administrator IV, DD is also referred to as the DD Unit Assistant Manager.  This position assists the DD Unit Program Manager by overseeing the operations of four units within the DD Unit.  These units conduct initial and re-licensure surveys and investigate complaints reported from recipients of DDA funded services, their family members and advocates, and self-reported incidents from DDA licensed providers.  The Assistant Manager must evaluate the regulatory work of the units to foster operations, as needed, from DDA licensees that protect recipients health and safety.  This position directly supervises 4 unit administrators who supervise investigators, surveyors, administrative, and support staff in the Children, Mortality, Triage/Investigative and Licensure/Re-licensure Units.  This position provides high level managerial work. This position helps the Office of Health Care Quality achieve its mission to promote public confidence in Maryland health care and community services delivery system by directing the four internal units work, and ensuring collaborative operations which maximizes the DD Unit resources and proficiency of work.  This position must possess strong managerial and organizational skills, experience in interpreting and applying regulations, and familiarity with a service delivery system for individuals with developmental disabilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must possess a bachelors degree and four of which must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.
