Main Purpose of Job

Timekeeping and Leave Management: Collects and reviews all County timesheets for accuracy and enters data into the County's ADP system; acts as back-up for State timekeeper using the State timekeeping system; compiles and completes all required leave reports such as annual, compensatory, sick, etc. for all AACoDSS staff. Recuitment: Reviews and assures supervisor(s)/manager(s)have submitted required documents such as 323, job description, and all relevant documents to HR to recruit for AACoDSS vacancies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Two years of general clerical or administrative support experience at least one year of which must have been paraprofessional personnel experience involving the application of public sector procedures, policies, rules and regulations to specific employment actions. Appropriate paraprofessional personnel experience should have included responsibility for activities such as, preparing and maintaining employment records, calculating salaries, applying and interpreting rules and policies, preparing personnel-related reports, counseling employees regarding benefits and obligations, and responding to inquiries concerning employment actions.

Note:

1. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in human resources assistance classification or human resources assistance specialty codes in the human resources management field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
