Main Purpose of Job
The Center Records Reviewer prepares and reviews WTC consumer paper and electronic records to ensure that WTC services have been documented and provided in accordance with agency, WTC, and department policies and procedures.
POSITION DUTIES
Check and file scheduled and voided records received from Admissions. Assemble and file admitted records. Discharge audit records. Identify deficiencies and report to the responsible provider and supervisor. Monitor deficiencies until record is complete. Audit scheduled and admitted shelves. Identify, purge, and report records discharged five years from last discharge date. Respond to record requests from Disability Determination Services, subpoena/lawyers, field counselors, consumers, and other requesters. Complete tasks assigned by Program Manager II to support Administrative Services department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two years performing secretarial or clerical work involving typing duties.
Notes: 1. Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college may be substituted at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience for up to two years of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Administrative Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment; Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation and grammar; Skill in filing alphabetically; Skill in typing on computer; Ability to compose business correspondence; Ability to establish, revise and implement office procedures; Ability to maintain paper and electronic records and prepare reports; Ability to maintain confidentiality of records, reports and other material; Ability to deal with officials, the public and co-workers in a courteous and tactful manner; Ability to communicate effectively.
