Introduction

This is a position specific recruitment for the Department of Natural Resources, Natural Resources Police- Stevensville, MD.  This recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies for this position/function only.  The resulting eligible list will be maintained for one year.  Persons interested in future vacancies within this classification must re-apply.

LOCATION OF POSITION

Stevensville, MD (Queen Anne's County)

Main Purpose of Job

The Department of Natural Resources, Natural Resources Police, Support Services Bureau, in Stevensville, Maryland is currently accepting applications for a Supply Officer II. This position is responsible for the management and operation of a storage facility or for assisting in the management of a store room or supply storage facility of a State institution or department. Employees in this class supervise lower-level supply personnel performing storekeeping functions; Develops storage methods; Receives, stores and issues equipment; Maintains or supervises maintenance of records; Conduct physical inventory of supplies; May lift supplies, materials and equipment weighing 10 pounds or more and other related duties.

Note: Employees in this classification may work shifts, which include weekends and holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Three (3) years of experience in receiving, storing, and issuing supplies, materials, or equipment in a storeroom, warehouse, or other supply storage facility.

Notes:

1. Additional experience as described above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in logistics specialist classifications or administrative support specialty codes in the logistics or unit supply field of work, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
