Main Purpose of Job
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: Completion of the fifth grade.
Experience: Four years employment in any combination of two or more of the maintenance trades such as carpentry, electricity, metalwork, welding, painting, plastering, plumbing, air-conditioning, refrigeration, steam fitting, masonry, and the other trowel trades.
Note: 1. Graduation from an accredited vocational-technical high school may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute US Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in utilities repair classification or construction and engineering specialty codes in any combination of maintenance trades, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
