The Contractual Dental Hygienist I is the intermediate level of work providing dental hygiene treatments and services in community health programs, inpatient or residential facilities.  The purpose of this position is to provide dental services per dental hygienist's scope and standards of practice to clients in the departmental oral health program both in clinical and off-site settings.  This is a part-time contractual position at Charles County Health Department which may require working some evenings/weekends as needed.

Education:    Determined by the Maryland Board of Dental Examiners under the licensing requirements for Dental Hygienist.

Experience:  None.

1.  Candidates for positions in this classification must possess and maintain a current certification as a Dental Hygienist from the Maryland Board of Dental Examiners.

2.  Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete training and maintain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

3.  Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties may be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.

This is a part-time contractual position with no benefits.
