Main Purpose of Job

The Contractual Administrative Officer II (Compliance Analyst) is administrative work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans or policies.  This position is responsible for In-Home Support and Assurance System (ISAS) compliance analysis including applying and interpreting Medicaid payment policies.  The position will process adjustments, exceptions and call-authorizations for ISAS.  Unresolved exceptions result in non-payment for personal care providers.  The incumbent will address high priority projects, which include planning and developing health care services, policies, and organizational workflows within the ISAS Program.  This involves provider outreach and education, program integrity monitoring, communicating with Providers and Support Planning Agencies (SPAs), and using the LTSS and ISAS databases.  The employee will work with Division Chiefs, as well as the ISAS Program Manager and lead analysts to coordinate exceptions processing.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education:    Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience:  Two years experience in administrative or professional work.

NOTES:

1.  Candidates may substitute additional experience in administrative staff or professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2.  Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
