Main Purpose of Job

The Contractual Linen Service Worker is the full performance level of work inspecting, sorting, folding and distributing garments and linens in a State facility or institution.  The main purpose of this position is to perform linen service tasks within the Laundry Department to enable a clean and sanitary environment for clients and staff at the Spring Grove Hospital Center.  This position does not supervise and is emergency essential.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education:    8th grade

Experience:  None

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
