LOCATION OF POSITION

Crownsville, Maryland

In the future, DHCD will be relocating from Crownsville, Anne Arundel County, to the New Carrollton transit stop location in Prince George’s County.

POSITION DUTIES

DHCD is looking for an Analyst to serve in the Facilities and Fleet Management Services (FFMS) unit of the Division of Finance and Administration.  This position will provide financial analysis, planning, and implementation for various central services to the Department, including building operations, emergency response, and telecommunications, as well as formulating policies and procedures.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience: Three years experience in administrative or professional work.

Notes:

  1. Candidates may substitute additional experience in administrative staff or professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
  2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

One year of relevant work experience collecting and analyzing data.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel & Power Point) is a plus.  The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, an effective communicator, able to present information and conduct training to groups of 25 or more people, and be able to work independently in achieving deadlines. Preference will also be give to applicants who have experience with procurement/solicitations and a First Aid Certification.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
