This position is within the Facilities Operations and Maintenance Division of the MD Department of General Services, located in Annapolis, Maryland.

The main purpose of this position is to provide all aspects of housekeeping and maintenance functions of the buildings, grounds and furnishings.

The MD Department of General Services seeks experienced applicants to supplement our housekeeping staff in the Annapolis area. Responsibilities consist of routine, semi-residential housekeeping duties, including public and private areas, and offices. May also assist in food service and cleaning linens as well as other items and providing a variety of related services in a unique setting.  

Preferred candidates will possess:

• experience providing quality housekeeping/personal services in an institutional, office or residential setting, or within the hospitality industry;
• ability to work flexible hours as needed;
• ability to pass a thorough background investigation;
• good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with all levels of internal and external customers; and
• a strong work ethic, self-motivation toward excellent job performance, and the ability and desire to work well with others in a fast-paced, team environment.
