This position is a special appointment with the State Ethics Commission. The position serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority.

Main Purpose of Job

This position requires reviewing and auditing financial disclosure statements, monitoring filing compliance, assisting the Financial Disclosure Administrator, filing, special projects and general office support. 

This person may fill in as necessary as receptionist, including answering phones, opening and distributing mail and assisting visitors to the office. 

Position also involves communicating with and assisting State employees, officials, and board and commission members with filing financial disclosure statements to ensure compliance with the Ethics Law. 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Completion of 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.

Experience: Two years of experience in administrative or professional work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute experience as defined above at the rate of one year experience for 30 credit hours of education for up to 60 credit hours of the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university for the required education and experience.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
