Introduction

This is a Special Appointment position at the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions. The incumbent will work at the pleasure of the appointing authority.

This position is limited to permanent and contractual Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Service’s employees Only.

Main Purpose of Job

This position is responsible, in collaboration with the Administrator of the Community Supervision Training Unit of the Police and Correctional Training Commissions, in the planning, organizing, and implementing of assigned programmatic and/or administrative projects.

POSITION DUTIES

Assist the Community Supervision Training Administrator in the planning, organizing, managing, and implementing of assigned programmatic and/or administrative special projects.

Provide administrative support to the Community Supervision Training Unit.

Provide direct oversight of the DPSCS Notice of Personnel Action form processing for Community Supervision.

Establish and provide direct oversight of a monitoring system for tracking unit expenditures and procurement activities.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
(In order to meet this educational requirement a transcript or copy of diploma must accompany your application. Failure to do so will result in disapproval. )

 

Experience: Four years' performing secretarial work or clerical work involving typing duties.

Notes:

1. Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college may be substituted at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience for up to two years of the required experience.
