Main Purpose of Job

This position is primarily responsible for assembling a monthly MPT2 program schedule in Protrack, creating and providing daily broadcast record schedules to Master Control, providing pre-logs to Master Control and monitoring and maintaining server storage capacity.

POSITION DUTIES

  • Provide Master Control with daily satellite uplink/downlink record schedules
  • Collates program data from various sources to assemble and issue the monthly MPT2 grid schedule
  • Create aircheck reports for pledge programming
  • Monitor and maintain storage capacity
  • Schedules refeeds of programming due to updated program information or satellite or equipment malfunctions
  • Provide pre-logs to Master Control, verifying program availability prior to air
  • Department liaison with Viewer Services to answer programming related viewer inquiries and complaints 
  • Provide Protrack training to Viewer Services as needed
  • Create aircheck reports for pledge programming
  • Check MyPBS for daily program information and updates
  • Order office supplies and main contact for printer/copier repair
  • Provide backup support for other Broadcast Coordinators as needed

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in a related field.  Related experience in a broadcast environment may be considered in lieu of a degree.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Three years broadcasting traffic experience.  Experience with a variety of software programs, spreadsheets and databases essential.

Must be able to lift 25 pounds
