Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
The incumbent ensures that DBED is in full compliance with all grant requirements for the Governor’s Office of Grants. The ability to upload timely compliance reports, perform budget reconciliations for grant payments, obtain required grant approvals, keep accurate hard/electronic files and maintain collaborative relationships with agency and federal professionals is essential.
Candidates must have demonstrated past knowledge/experience regarding state contracting practices, procedures and regulations. When required, candidates will assign/oversee the grant related work of others. Candidates also must possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple concurrent tasks is a must. Use of Microsoft Outlook, Google Mail, Word, Excel, Access, Internet and or other relevant software is required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in grant evaluation, budget preparation, presentation and execution. Applicants may substitute additional experience as defined above on a year for year basis for the required education.
