Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Manages the ITCD Directors of the following groups: Public Safety Data Center, Application Development, Networking and Telecom; Criminal Justice Information System and Central Repository; Administration and User Liaisons.
Ensure the successful completion of the major ITCD IT initiatives by coordinating the interaction between the technical and project management personnel.
Oversee the development and implementation of policies for the operation of information systems within the DPSCS and other agencies.
Assist the Chief Information Officer in providing strategic direction and planning for information technology and telecommunication for the DPSCS in support of its mission and business requirements.
Other duties as assigned. The varying requests made to ITCD require flexibility in duties, priorities, scheduling, and resource allocation on a constant basis.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Technology Management, or similar Information Technology curriculum.
Note: Applicants may substitute two years of practical related experience for each year of required college education.
Experience: 10 years in the Information Technology field managing Information Technology staff; 4 of the 10 years must have involved managing a unit of at least 40 staff members.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must meet the selective qualification to be considered. Include clear and specific information on your application regarding the qualification.
4 years of experience managing vendor contracts
5 years of experience with secured data sharing/transmission with both State and Federal agencies.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of experience working in a 24/7 technical support environment.
5 years of experience managing IT related projects.
4 years of experience writing technical Statements of Work.
