Main Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for the regulation of state programs including developmental disabilities, assisted living, adult medical day care, mental health and substance use disorder, and allied health programs. This position supervises all phases of survey and licensure processes; recommends sanctions/administrative actions and prepares necessary documents to carry out such actions regarding non-compliant providers; plans and implements changes to State regulatory processes as necessary based on state guidelines, direction, and/or changes in the law and regulation; develops and implements office policies and procedures to meet performance goals; and ensures that there is public confidence in the health care and community service delivery systems through regulatory, enforcement, and educational activities.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Qualified applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with at least five years of managerial experience in the either the field of health care, public health, human services or related field.  A master’s degree from an accredited college or university is strongly preferred. 

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The successful applicant should have a work history in regulatory enforcement and monitoring of community-based programs.
