Main Purpose of Job

Manage the installation of a variety of Maryland Correctional Enterprises products and services with an emphasis on furniture to assigned State funded/ State aided entities that include MD State agencies, Universities, Community Colleges, County government, and MD Non-profits. Job requires management, coordination & maintaining of all projects from initial client contact to final delivery and inspection of goods or services.

POSITION DUTIES

Installation Coordinators manage various assigned state and state funded projects encompassing a variety of MCE products and services with an emphasis on furniture installation. The Installation Coordinator works in conjunction with a team of designers to coordinate the installation of large projects involving MCE’s products and services. The incumbent will be responsible for verifying product manufacturing status to schedule deliveries with MCE shops, MCE warehouses, end users, and MCE installation staff or MCE installation contractor. The coordinators are responsible for reviewing the project folders; to ensure they are complete with everything needed to successfully manage the installation aspect. Reading of blueprints related to office furniture and field measuring of offices/works spaces (both large and small) is required to ensure proper fit of furniture. Orchestrate and complete pre-installation walk thru, post install punch lists and punch list priorities. Maintain a library of project portfolios that include blueprints and all important documentation related to the project.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required.

Experience: Two years’ experience involving space planning, design, delivery and installation of furniture or a related field.

Notes: Paraprofessional work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of the required education.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
