Main Purpose of Job

This position actively leads and participates (as a Project Manager, Advanced-Level Developer and Database Administrator) in the initiation, concept development planning, requirements analysis, design, development, test, implementation and operations and maintenance phases of the projects.  Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server databases is essential to this position. 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology.  A copy of your college transcripts must accompany your application (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).

Experience: Four years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software.

Notes:

1. Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology may be substituted for the required education.

2. Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and one additional year of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software may be substituted for the required education.

3. Experience operating computer systems; or scheduling, controlling input and output to process data on computer systems; or evaluating, implementing and maintaining computer hardware and software; or converting data from project specifications by writing program code using generally accepted computer programming languages may be substituted for high school education on a year-for-year basis.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must possess at least two years of experience as either a lead Database Administrator for Microsoft SQL Server Databases and/or a lead internet/intranet .NET developer.  (This experience must be reflected on the application to receive credit.)

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desirable candidate should have either a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or be a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).  This should include experience managing IT projects by functioning as a Project Manager.  The desirable candidate should also have experience securing internet/intranet Applications and SQL Server Databases.  They should have experience developing, implementing, and testing disaster recovery and failover for internet/intranet applications and SQL Server Databases.  All experience must be documented on application to receive credit.
