Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to administer the school based wellness centers and provide clinical care.  This position will be a liaison between the Howard County Health Department, the Howard County Public School System, the University of Maryland and CareClix and provide oversight to the services provided by this collaboration.  This position provides training to designated staff on the use of essential equipment and provide continued support, guidance and backup for programmatic concerns.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Determined by Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses under the certification requirements for Nurse Practitioner or Nurse-Midwife.

Experience: Two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Nurse Midwife.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1.Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current certificate as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Nurse Midwife from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215.   A copy of your current license, license verification, or license number and expiration date must accompany your application.

2.Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
