Main Purpose of Job

This position serves as the Assistant Admnistrator for the Citizens Review Board for Children (CRBC). This position is responsible for promoting the achievement of CRBC's mission and goals. The Assistant Administrator manages the development and distribution of external and internal technical mandated CRBC out-of-home placement reports; assists the Administrator in drafting regulations, policies and procedures; manages staff and volunteer training and acts as the Administrator in the their absence.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education:  Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience:  Seven years experience in administrative, professional or technical work, two years of which must have involved supervision of other employees or exercising responsibility for program development.

Notes:

 1. Applicants may substitute education at the graduate level at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester hours on a year-for-year basis for a maximum of two years of the required general experience.

 2. Experience in a human service program may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required four years of college education.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Three years of administrative, professional or technical experience must have included program management experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Possess a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related Human Service field; or Public Administration or related field.

Knowledge of Maryland Public Child Welfare System.

Knowledge of the Maryland Citizen Review process.

Experience planning and/or evaluating for a human service program.

Experience with re-organization for a human service program.

Two years of experience using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software to enter and clean data, develop data-sets, and analysis of frequency distributions.

One to two years of experience with technical writing and reporting.

Ability to speak in public and facilitate public meetings.
