Main Purpose of Job

This position will represent the Behavioral Health program within the Division of Addiction Services, and engage with stakeholders on various health care policies, utilization and fiscal topics at private sector and public meetings. Job duties include but are not limited to: planning, implementing, and monitoring division services; analyzing health care utilization, available resources and fiscal data to support policy, program and service development; preparing reports and project plans; and evaluating and developing recommendations regarding current and future initiatives and activities governed through policy and regulation.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: One year of experience evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing health care services, policies and programs.

Note:

A Master's degree in Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or closely related field may be substituted for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Training and experience in accreditation process and in behavioral health policies and procedures is preferred. 

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
