Main Purpose of Job

This position carries out administrative activities to support programs that are monitored by the Core Service Agency. Duties for this position include monitoring, planning, and administration of community based programs serving adults with serious mental illness and their families. Additionally, this position is responsible for care coordination and linkage for adults in the Public Mental Health System, responding and resolving quality of care complaints, as well as assisting with implementation of the Mental Health Plan and public education.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling or a related field.

Experience: Five years of professional experience in health services, two years of which must have been in the option for which application is made.

Notes: 1. Applicants may substitute a master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a health or human service field for one year of the required general experience.

2. Experience in the option must be as follows: professional work related to treatment and services for mentally ill patients.

3. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus one additional year of professional experience in health services may be substituted for the specific degree.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
