Main Purpose of Job

This position wil provide administrative support for the Office of Support Enforcement and the Assistant Director. The Administrative Specialist III will provide all OSCE administrative support to customer requesting a review of their support obligation; respond to parnters in Family Court Services, NPEP, and States Attorney's Office for case and collection information. The individual will also be responsible for communicating with the Landlord of any facility issues and ensure all office equipment and supplies is operating and available; will communicate with janitorial staff to ensure the facility is cleaned properly each night; Ensures agency security systems are working properly and assigns staff prox cards; scans court orders received from fiscal staff.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Please describe in detail any job duties relating to the minimum qualifications stated and include any computer software experience (ex. Word, Excel, Access, etc.) used in each of the positions you held.

Education: Completion of 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.

Experience: Two years of experience in administrative or professional work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute experience as defined above at the rate of one year experience for 30 credit hours of education for up to 60 credit hours of the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university for the required education and experience

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Two years experience working for a Social Services agency.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
