DHMH- Spring Grove Hospital Center, Catonsville, MD.

Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to support the Maintenance Manager and Multi Services Center Manger by providing supervision to skilled and unskilled workers overseeing the day to day maintenance operations of the Spring Grove Hospital Center (SGHC) campus by scheduling, organizing, and coordinating all tenant building maintenance; all skilled labor/trade shops-sheet metal, roof, carpentry, paint, lockshop, electric, plumbing, work order service center, special projects, and all hospital building maintenance. This position functions at the full performance level and receives general supervision from a Multi-Services Center Manager or higher level administrator. This is an Emergency Essential position.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Completion of eighth grade.

Experience: Seven years experience in building maintenance or building construction trades including six years of responsibility assigning, reviewing and approving the work of others and disciplining, evaluating the performance of, and recommending the hiring, firing and promoting of others.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1. Candidates for positions in the licensed option must possess and maintain a current Maryland First Grade Stationary Engineer License from the Board of Examining Engineers.

2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
