Main Purpose of Job

This is a contractual position responsible for the coordination of the quality assurance components of the Autism Waiver, including coordinating the Provider Monitoring for the Autism Waiver, analyze data and develop written monitoring and data reports on status of the Autism Waiver and the review of Autism Waiver Providers. Respond to Reportable Events, lead a Provider focus group, and make recommendations to improve the quality of the Autism Waiver.

POSITION DUTIES

Serves as a technical specialist for the implementation of the Autism Waiver including the Quality Assurance Plan; provides site visits to determine service provider compliance with applicable Medicaid regulations; conducts technical assistance site meetings, workshops, and disseminates information through written correspondence and telephone contact; serves as a liaison to local counties for related projects.  Provides technical assistance and support to the Interagency Medicaid Monitoring team providing school based monitoring activities for Local School Systems (LSSs), Local Lead Agencies (LLAs), and nonpublic schools for school on Medicaid services; responds to all the Autism Waiver Reportable Events, and supports the development of Autism Waiver policies and procedures.  

MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:  A Master’s Degree or equivalent 36 post baccalaureate credit hours of course work in Social Work, Special Education, Public Health, Psychology, or a related field.  

EXPERIENCE:  Four (4) years of professional experience in training professional staff that must include administrative and/or supervisory experience, or administration of a public health or special education program or a program serving individuals with disabilities; experience with Medicaid services or Home and Community Based Waivers is desirable.

NOTE:  Two additional years of experience as defined may substitute for the Master’s Degree.
