Introduction

The Education Department at Maryland Public Television is accepting applications for Trainers (Early Childhood and K-12) on a continuing basis to build an applicant pool for anticipated position vacancies. These positions will be filled as needed and are contingent on available funding. Applications will remain active and on file for one year following receipt and will be considered as openings occur.

POSITION DUTIES

Responsible for coordinating and conducting training sessions on a variety of MPT products and programs. The trainer will work with the Professional Development Coordinator to ensure materials and logistical needs are met, schedule and conduct training, and work with participants to gather feedback. Applicants must be able to travel throughout the state to conduct half and full-day training sessions.

MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates will have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Education or other related field and a minimum of two years teaching, training, and/or professional development experience.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have the ability to use presentation tools, conduct face-to-face and/or online training sessions, and modify training as needed to meet the needs of the audience.
