Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to assist the investigation of cases of other compliance issues and questions of various stages and levels of investigation. This includes but is not limited to assisting the Intake Unit with the preliminary investigation stage of the Board process, assisting in the full investigation stage and the compliance issues in referrals from the Licensure Unit of the Board in connection with applications for initial licensure and reinstatement of licensure.
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or university.
Note: Experience conducting investigations in the area of health care, insurance, medical malpractice or other related investigative experience as defined by the Maryland Board of Physicians may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS
The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
