Main Purpose of Job
The Office of the Public Defender, Information Technology Division is recruiting for a Computer Network Specialist Manager. This position will be responsible for the technical support of departmental local and wide area network and remote sites, administration and maintenance of video conference equipment and management of the BlueCoat Web Proxy. This includes traveling to remote sites to troubleshoot LAN/WAN, hardware and software evaluations, implementation of new technologies, development and implementation of network standards and procedures.
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other information technology related field.
Experience – Three years of experience planning, integrating and maintaining software and hardware for local or wide area computer networks.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Seven years of experience planning, integrating and maintaining software and hardware for local or wide area computer networks. Knowledge of Windows Server 2003, SQL Server, Bluecoat Gateway Proxy, Symantec Mail Security 8300, CISCO Routers and Switches, CISCO VPN Concentrator, Polycom CHA4000, Polycom HDX videoconference systems, Polycom RMA 2000, and Apache Server.
