Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to recruit eligible clients into various cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment programs and to provide customer service as related to individual client need. Focus is placed on the Korean population. The candidate must be fluent in both English and Korean. This position may be required to report before or after normal business hours and/or weekends for emergencies or participation in health fairs.

MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: One year of experience in providing information on health care and disease prevention within the community.

Note: Experience providing assistance to individuals in a health care or social services setting may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must be fluent in both English and Korean. (Please indicate under the section labeled "Special Skills and Abilities" of the online application; failure to do so will result in disqualification.)

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
