Introduction
There are three vacant positions with one working out of the Forensic Sciences Division (FSD) Crime Scene Office in Easton; one out of the FSD Laboratory in Pikesville; and the other out of the FSD Laboratory in Hagerstown.
These positions are CONTRACTUAL and funded for a 10 month period.

Main Purpose of Job
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of the sixth grade.
Experience: Two years of full-time paid employment in the operation of automotive transportation equipment. It is desirable that this experience shall have included the transportation of passengers.
Note:
1. Additional full-time paid employment operating automotive transportation vehicles may be substituted, on a year-for-year basis, for up to three years of the elementary school education.
2. Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Equipment Operator classifications or Equipment Operator and Vehicle Operator specialty codes in the Equipment Operation field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Applicants must possess a driver’s license valid in Maryland. Applicants must list the license number and date of issues on the application.
2. The work of certain positions in this classification may require that the applicant secure another class of driver’s license prior to appointment. Applicants may also be required to submit a certified copy of their driving records before appointment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.
Candidates will be subject to an initial drug screening, and a complete criminal background investigation to include a polygraph examination before permanent appointment can be made. A criminal conviction may be grounds for rejection of the candidate.
