NATURE OF WORK

A Forester Supervisor is the supervisory level of work in the field of professional forest management and protection.  Employees in this classification serve as a supervisor of a county project or manager of a large State park or forest.  Employees in this classification supervise lower-level Foresters and Foresters Licensed in carrying out the management and protection functions.

Employees in this classification receive general supervision from a Forester Manager or other higher-level forestry official.

Positions in this classification are evaluated by using the classification job evaluation methodology.  The use of this method involves comparing the assigned duties and responsibilities of a position to the job criteria found in the Nature of Work and Examples of Work sections of the class specification.
