The Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for regular and substitute positions with the County After School Activities (CASA) program. Positions are available at various sites in the County for the 2009-2010 school year. Duties include supervision, organization and management of after school programs for children in grades K-5. Staff supervision also included. Regular positions work Monday -Friday, 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. according to the school calendar, plus time for planning, preparation and meetings. Substitute positions are also available and allow for a more flexible schedule.

Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field. Virginia State Licensing requires additional experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities. One year programmatic experience preferred.

Must have certification in First Aid, CPR for adult, infant and child, and negative TB test result prior to beginning work

Successful candidate will undergo a criminal background and CPS check.
