Loudoun County (VA) Public Library, ranked a Top Ten Library by the HAPLR index and a starred library by Library Journal, seeks a vibrant, innovative individual to serve as Deputy Director. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, creative team leader to the 7 Branch Managers and will serve as Director in the Director’s absence. Loudoun County is located just 25 miles from Washington, DC with a population of 288,500. Requires a Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution, and must obtain certification as a professional librarian by the Commonwealth of Virginia within 6 months of hire. At least 7 years of related professional-level experience including considerable supervisory or operational/administrative oversight experience.
