MAJOR FUNCTION

Performs highly independent managerial and administrative duties associated with special projects, programs or the operation of an activity.

MAJOR DUTIES

Note: The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive. Depending on assigned area of responsibility, incumbents in the position may perform some or all of the activities described below.

  • Assists in planning, coordinating and directing project activities and communicating issues to Administrative Services Organization (ASO) Project Manager.
  • Receives, studies, formulates, executes, and expedites special projects and assignments.
  • Participates in, reports on, and recommends action on special assignments involving meetings with other ASO funding agencies, programs, and providers.
  • Reviews existing procedures for compliance and formulates new procedures when required.
  • Monitors, evaluates and resolves problems related to activities assigned. 
  • Provides consultation and technical assistance to case managers, supervisors, participants and providers.
  • Assists with the development, implementation, and evaluation of the ASO which manages a network of services provided to families, vendors, and case managers that monitor the service delivery.
  • Coordinates and oversees the quality management processes for the project which includes development, implementation and reporting.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Considerable knowledge of the functions, activities, requirements and objectives of the specific program/functional area to which assigned.
  • Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of management.
  • Ability to plan, organize and implement complex projects, programs or activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with others within and outside own organization.
  • Ability to use initiative, and exercise sound judgement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Note: Minimum Qualifications MUST be attained before the recruitment ending date.

Graduation from an accredited four year degree granting college or university with a major in Business; and
Three years of experience managing social services, quality improvement, or business projects, programs or activities.

OR

An Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in a Business field; and
Four years of experience managing social services, quality improvement, or business projects, programs or activities.

OR

Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate; and
Five years of experience managing social services, quality improvement, or business projects, programs or activities.

    OPEN AND CLOSED RECRUITMENTS:  We are running concurrent Closed (Internal) and Open recruitments. Internal candidates on a closed eligibility list must be considered first, prior to a selection being made from the open eligibility list. To be considered for the same classification under Open recruitment, internal candidates must also apply under the open recruitment process.
